"SL" Series Road Wheelsets

Allround wheels for racing, training and centuries.

The "SL" Series Wheelsets feature our new FH-70SP and RH-190SP US Made Hubs. Centered around 15mm (front) and 17mm (rear) axles combined with 6802 (front) and 6903/6803 (rear) bearings, they are among the stiffest hubs we manufacture.

Spokes used are Sapim Laser (CA1.9SL - 24/28h) or CX-Ray (CA2.4SL, TA2.4SL - 20/28h, CA2.7SL, CC3.8SL, CC5.0SL - 20/24h).

CA1.9SL uses a "wide chamber" profile to create a fatter, rounder tire profile. 

The CA2.4SL uses our widely accepted V-22 rim, a 22mm wide clincher rim that gives the now proven "U" tire profile without causing the possible frame/fork interactions that a wider rim can create when used in modern close clearance road frames.

The CA2.7SL uses a 23x28mm wide rim to create a fatter, rounder tire profile.

CX-Ray spokes available in Silver, Black, or White color options.

Choice of regular J-Bend spokes and flanged hubs available for those that prefer a more traditional look.

Upgrade to ceramic bearings, carbon dust covers, and USL Ti QR's available saving 95gm. Choose "USL Upgrade" below.

Wheelset includes skewers and rim tape.

NOTE: When we state "US Made", all parts in our hubs are manufactured in Orange County excluding bearings and freehub bodies on all models excluding the RH-160. Machining, Polishing, Anodizing and Laser Marking have all been performed by the same companies since the beginning (with a few trials of alternatives that taught us we got it right first time), giving continuity of quality and refinement through experience that only repetition of production can give. Our aluminum is certified aerospace grades from Kaiser Aluminum, an Orange County based firm that has produced high quality aluminum since the 1940's.
